How to build a wellness routine that you'll actually stick to!

Building a wellness routine sounds like a simple and achievable task, which it is, until life starts to get in the way. Many people start with ambitious goals and lose motivation within the first few weeks. In this guide, we will help outline how to build a routine that fits your real life and how you can keep this routine consistent.

Starting small

One of the biggest mistake people make when trying to integrate wellness practices into their everyday life is trying to do everything at once. The secret to a wellness routine that lasts is starting small and creating habits that are easy to repeat.

Instead of trying to wake up at 5am and going for run or cutting out all sugar, you might find it easier to stick to small changes such as:

  • Switching to mushroom coffee, to include added wellness benefits into a routine that already exists.
  • Making sure you take short walk everyday
  • Drinking more water

The basics

Most routines are built off of a few key areas. While wellness can be very fulfilling, it doesn't have to be intense.

Getting a good nights rest: Sleep

Sleep is super important to your general wellbeing, so implementing routines to support this is necessary. Talking a CBD oil before bed can be great for this, the one we recommend is SleepWell which is a herbal blend of CBD, Valerian, Lavender. These herbs are great for giving you the best night sleep.

Other herbal remedies you can take to enhance your bedtime routine include magnesium, which is often used to support relaxation and sleep quality, and reishi mushroom which is a functional mushroom which is highly regarding for improving sleep.

Getting your joints going: Movement

Movement is also a key aspect of a wellness routine but it doesn't need to be intense. Even remembering to stretch after work or sitting down for a while can do your body and mind a whole host of good. Walking, light exercise and yoga can also be great for your physical health and will make a noticeable difference in how you feel.

Happy mind, happy life: Mental wellness

Stress management matters just as much as physical health. Journaling, meditation, reading, or spending time offline can help you recharge mentally.

Many people also add functional mushrooms and herbs to support focus and mental clarity. Lions Mane is great for supporting memory and cognitive function.

Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that can also help prepare your body for stressful situations. It is known for it's calming properties.

Build around your lifestyle

The best wellness routine is one that fits naturally into your day. If you hate early mornings, don’t force yourself into a 5 AM routine because someone online said it works. Your routine should reflect and enhance your life style, not take it over.

It is also important to not aim for perfection. A flexible routine is more achievable than a strict one.

A good wellness routine should make you feel healthier, calmer, and more energised, not stressed. Start small, stay realistic, and focus on habits you can maintain long term.

Whether it’s improving your sleep, moving your body more, or incorporating natural supplements like magnesium, ashwagandha, Lion’s Mane, or CBD into your routine, consistency is what matters most.

The most effective wellness routine isn’t the most extreme one. It’s the one you can actually stick to.
